China printer production (2006 data): 

• 126 million printers were produced
• 35 million inkjet printers – or 29% of the global production
• 25.5 million laser printer – or 17% of the global production
• 1 million dot matrix – or 67% of the global production
• Guangdong alone exported 10. million laser printers, - or 57.29% of the global production.
• 98% of products exported from China are manufactured by branches of international enterprises in China.

China printer consumables production (2006 data):

• 320 million compatible and remanufactured cartridges were produced – or 60.1% of the global volume
• 22 million of compatible and remanufactured monochrome drum units – or 27% of the global volume
• 480 tons of black toner – or 2.4% of the global volume
• 6.3 million cartridges with OPC drums- or 7.8% of the global volume
